Lake I Area Rep to the Rescue?

Can area representative Cordel Hyde help to stem the violence that has erupted in his constituency since Monday?  Well, we know that the long-time representative has a lot of influence in the division where more than ninety-percent of the electors who went to the polls voted for him.  But can this power help with the gang warfare?  At the press briefing on Wednesday, Hyde’s colleague, Minister of Home Affairs Kareem Musa says that to curb the rivalries, they are also going to be leaning on Hyde for some support to help tackle the gang violence in Lake Independence.

“It might not be in his department in terms of his portfolio but first and foremost and I know the Deputy well Honorable Cordel Hyde, I am sure that he is doing his best in intervening as the area representative and so definitely we have been in communication with the Deputy, it is in his area like you mentioned and so whatever assistance he can lend in trying to resolve this issue, you can trust that Cordel Hyde will be there to do that. It is not his responsibility but certainly we will lean on him and be most appreciative for his assistance as well.”
