“Within that commotion reports surfaced that previously, the day before, B.D.F. soldiers were seen consuming liquor and were seen also going to the border to pickup contraband liquor for them to consume within the community and of course while they are on the job. We met with the officer in charge at Fairweather Camp in Punta Gorda and there is an investigation that we are demanding for them to do because such incidents like these have created a no-confidence, like I said, on the part of the community in working with the B.D.F. because it’s their community that’s right at the border and they have maintained a good working relationship with the B.D.F., along with the leaders in the community of San Vicente.”
