U.D.P. Political Appointees Refusing to Leave

Andre Perez

On the day he was sworn in as the new Prime Minister of the country, P.U.P. leader John Briceño made it clear: he wanted all U.D.P. political appointees to do the right thing and resign.  Those U.D.P. appointees heard him and reports surfacing from all ministries are that they are refusing to leave.  Contracts for several years were reportedly signed this year, giving political appointees leverage over the government.  If an individual is terminated, the government can, and will probably be sued, leaving that employee with the high possibility of collecting hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages for wrongful termination. Minister of Blue Economy and Civil Aviation Andre Perez did not mince words during a live video statement this morning.  He called these U.D.P. political cronies ‘viruses’, ‘sicknesses’, and ‘diseases’ that have embedded themselves in government, armed with recently issued government contracts.  Minister Perez says that the entire government is struggling right now to fully complete the transition process.

“Our country has been plundered, has been pillaged. We have been raped to say the least. I am very sorry to use a strong term but really and truly as we speak today, for the past ten days I have been working hard, working in doing all the work as possible to the point that I feel a bit bad that I have to come to you but it is so bad to the point that it is impossible for me to describe that the change of government meant that we chop this previous government like this in the head. We have been unable to do so because as we speak we have still have many of those cronies embedded n government. It is not just like chopping it off. They have armed themselves with m any contracts, many contracts that is very if you read them out you will find them very repulsive. In other words, picture this, this past government has left their cronies in their stuck with all different positions and contracts. Daughters in laws, primos, esposas, esposas, sobrinos, amigos, everyone here is still in there embedded. It is alike a virus on top of us that we cannot chop, that we have to take them one by one to take them off. Because we go there and we tell them, get out of there you political appointed persons they have a contract in their pocket that will throw at us and we the government and you the people will have to pay x amount of dollars for these people for “wrongful termination” if you want to say that. That s how bad it is out there my friends. That is what we are finding against us and that is why right now the entire government is struggling right now to fit in, to get in to transition, to get into work. But I will tell that the big problem right now is that main component that we are unable to do so because each and everyone one of them are deeply embedded, deeply rooted like a virus, like a sickness, like a disease in our government.”
