Fonseca to meet with Albright
Minister of Budget Planning and Management Ralph Fonseca will also be in New Orleans later this week, but for a different reason. He is part of a top-level delegation from the Caribbean attending the second annual meeting with US Secretary of State Madeline Albright. According to the Government Press Office, the meeting will set the stage for US/Caribbean relations as the current US administration comes to a close. Discussions will focus on economic development, protection and management of the environment, justice and security as well as a study on harmful tax practices, the offshore financial sector, and Caribbean/US cooperation.
