Prime Minister Announces Members of the Economic Recovery Advisory Team

Prime Minister John Briceño today announced the members of the Economic Recovery Advisory Team.  These members are tasked with getting the economy back on track.  A working group of fourteen business professionals will make recommendations to engineer sustainable, economic activity going forward. A government press release says the team will also make recommendations to “protect and create jobs and successfully emerge from the current economic crisis stemming from the 2019 U.D.P. administration recession, the COVID-19 pandemic, weather-related shocks, and the resulting collapse of the tourism and other sectors of the economy.”   The team will be co-chaired by the C.E.O. in the Ministry of Finance Christopher Coye and Sean Feinstein who will be representing the tourism industry. The Agro-Productive Sector will be represented by Gilbert Canton Junior while Reynaldo Magaña represents the International Financial Services Sector. Doctor Henry Canton will be speaking on behalf of businesses of traditional commodities and Sandra Bedran will be speaking on behalf of the banking services. The insurance services sector will be represented by Christopher Roe while Michael Bowen represents the manufacturing sector.  Nubia Ramirez is on the team representing Business Process Outsourcing and Doctor Victor Rosado is representing health services. Small businesses are being represented by Katherine Meighan and the credit unions are being represented by Corrine Robinson Fuller. The Prime Minister is being represented by his C.E.O. Narda Garcia and the N.T.U.C.B. is being represented by Mandela Wade. The team will submit its recommendations and strategies to the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance for urgent consideration and action.
