GOB representatives to attend IDB meeting in New Orleans
This week, the Board of Governors of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) will meet in New Orleans to analyze the financial situations of Latin America and the Caribbean. According to an IDB press release, reducing poverty, income distribution and capital flows in the region are some of the topics that will be discussed. One seminar entitled “Politics and Governance in Latin America” will suggest ways of dealing with government ineffectiveness, noncompliance with regulations and lack of transparency. Belize will be represented by Prime Minister Said Musa, Minister of Budget Planning and Financing Ralph Fonseca, Deputy Governor of IDB in Belize and Governor of Central Bank Keith Arnold, Billy Musa Sr. and Glenn Godfrey.
