Cattle Landing Man Found Bound and Shot to Death!

There’s another murder to report, this time it happened in southern Belize where thirty-seven-year-old Darwin Chavarria met a gruesome end in Punta Gorda.  The Cattle Landing resident was last seen alive around ten on Wednesday morning and when he didn’t return home, his family filed a missing person’s report on Thursday.  We are told that also on Thursday, police discovered an SUV that Chavarria was driving; it was completely burnt and discarded on Waterhole Road on the outskirts of P.G.  Relatives also shared that Chavarria’s slippers and other personal belongings were found in the vicinity.  But it wasn’t until today, sometime around eight-thirty this morning, that the search efforts led to Chavarria’s bullet riddled body.  Information to News Five is that his hands were also bound.  Reports are that on Wednesday evening, when Chavarria’s wife returned home, she found their house ransacked and there were signs of forced entry on the back door.  Further police investigation revealed that there was a struggle inside a bedroom.  According to reports, the family suspects that Chavarria may have been killed by robbers who targeted him for money he had made from a recent sale.
