No, they weren’t clowns, but American students who gave up their spring break to perform plays for Belizean children. RIM, Real Impact Mission, has been performing in schools, in streets and parks, acting out various dramas, including one called “Spellbound,” also known as “Toymaker and Son.”
Keith Wheeler, RIM
“And in this it’s the story of the toy maker and his son, they create a beautiful world of toys. But there’s something that goes wrong. There’s an evil magician that comes in and he deceives the toys by temptation. And when they yield to this temptation, they are separated by a barrier, it’s the barrier of sin. So the toymaker and his son continue to create toys but they’re all broken and diseased and separated. So the toymaker and his son decide that the toymaker’s son will become a toy and rescue the toys. They have a plan.”
The members of RIM will be in Belize until this Sunday. They will continue to visit different schools in Belize City and performing in the streets.
