Seven New Commissioners for the P.U.C.
Attorney-at-law Dean Molina is the new chairman of the Public Utilities Commission. Today, the P.U.C. announced Molina’s appointment through a press release that cites his accomplishments as being a sole practitioner for the past ten years and having, “substantial experience in Utility Regulation, having been the Manager of Legal and Regulatory Affairs at Belize Telemedia Limited for five years and the Director of Standards, Tariffs and Compliance at the Public Utilities Commission for three years.” Molina holds a Bachelors of Law from the University of London, a Masters of Law in Information Technology and Telecommunications Law from the University of Strathclyde and a Post Graduate Diploma from the University of the West of England in the U.K.
The six other commissioners to serve on the P.U.C. are Ricardo Nah, Carlo Keith, Arun Hotchandani, David Zabaneh, Mark Menzies, and Etienne Sharp.
Molina succeeds John Avery who demitted office earlier this month.
