Winners selected for IDB youth summit
The Inter-American Development Bank in Belize has announced the winners of the Youth Summit Competition. They are Cardine Coleman and Arthur Usher who were selected by an international panel in Washington D.C. They will join youth leaders from 25 other countries at the IDB/IIC Youth Summit in News Orleans later this month. Coleman is a second year student at S.J.C. Junior College and a member of the YMCA youth group. Arthur Usher attends UCB and is employed by the Ministry of Human Development. He is a member of the Young Artists’ Association (YAA) and is the youth representative on the board for the Belize/Michigan Partners. In other IDB news, 19 year old Ranjini Charley of S.J.C Junior College has won the IDB 40th Anniversary essay competition. Charley will receive a two-month internship at the Bank and a used computer and a new printer.
