Third man sought in Orange Walk rape
Police are still looking for a third man believed to have been involved with the rape of a 13 year old girl from San Jose, Orange Walk. On Tuesday, two men, one of them a teacher, were charged in connection with the incident. Ernest Carillo and Pedro Sanchez were both charged with abduction and conspiracy to abduct. Carillo was also charged with two counts of unlawful carnal knowledge. The girl told police she was home alone on February 26th when three men came to the house, tied her up and put her in a truck and took her to a nearby school and one of the men raped her. In related news, the police say BTL has informed them that the police hotline for reporting crimes against children will not be in operation until early next week. In the meantime they are urging anyone with information about the murder of 14 year old Noemi Hernandez, any of the other child murders or incidents of sexual abuse and rape to call the Criminal Investigations Branch or the Family Violence Unit.
