March being held to protest crimes against children

To protest the murder of another child, Noemi Hernandez, and continuing crimes against children the NCH/Belize Action for Children, the National Committee for Families and Children and the Young Women’s Christian Association are organizing a march on Thursday afternoon. The agencies are inviting all southside schools to meet at the Roger’s Stadium at 2:30 and Northside schools to meet at the YWCA on Freetown Road at 1:30. The group from the “Y” will walk over the Bel-China Bridge and meet the school children at Roger’s Stadium and then the whole group will proceed to the Supreme Court Building on Regent Street. Anyone else who would like to participate is welcome. A statement from the sponsors says they are asking all Belizeans to “stand to” and be prepared and vigilant for the “enemy of the children who will strike at any moment.” For more information contact the NCH/Belize Action for Children on Young Street.
