Teenagers report rapes in Orange Walk
A teenage boy has reported being raped in the Orange Walk District. The fourteen year old told police he was walking with some friends near Louisiana Field on the evening of the twenty-sixth, when a Creole man stopped and asked if one of them would translate for him. The youth agreed to do the favor, got in the car and was driven towards Perville. However, he says the man stopped the car, ordered him to get out, beat and raped him. According to the youth, the man then took him down the road, dropped him off and told the boy to go home. Police say their investigations continue. Meanwhile Orange Walk Police have detained two men in connection with another rape in San Jose Village. This time, a thirteen-year-old girl reported she was home alone around six Saturday evening when three men came to the door. The teenager said she recognized one of the men so allowed them in, but they gagged her and tied her hands and put her in a gray pickup. She says they drove her to the San Jose school compound where one of the men raped her. The girl said she was then dropped off a short distance from home.
