John Doe Remains Unidentified
Police have yet to identify the body of a man found decomposing two weekends ago on the Macal Riverbank. The person is labelled as John Doe, and the only identifying clue that investigators have is a tattoo, a woman with shoulder-length hair. Forensics experts have managed to somewhat re-hydrate the tattoo, and since the release of the image, a woman has visited the police station, claiming that the man is her family member. However, investigators have yet to positively identify the body until the process is fully completed. ACP Joseph Myvett explained.
ACP Joseph Myvett, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch
“A woman from Saint Matthew’s Village had come in based on the tattoo but certain other things has got to be done including DNA samples taken from those persons before we will release an identity to be that definitively of the person who went missing. According to her, the first of November was the last time she say that person.”
