Belmopan Man Robbed and Stabbed!

A man in Belmopan was stabbed during a robbery on Thursday night. Roger Russel was reportedly robbed of his knapsack and then stabbed multiple times. He was taken to the Western Regional Hospital where he underwent surgery and is currently in a stable condition. Today, his friend Area Representative of Belmopan Oscar Mira told us about the attack:

“I got a message last night that open of our very long time supporter of our party was stabbed in the area of Trinity Boulevard. It is very sad. I think that we need to continue working in securing our citizens in Belmopan especially since I represent Belmopan. I have been in touch with the police department o ensure that we investigation and make sure we provide more security to our citizens in Belmopan. It is an unfortunate incident and I understand that he underwent surgery last night and this morning he was stabled. It is something that we definitely that we can ensure that we can prevent and that would mean we work closely with the Police Department and neighbourhood watches groups that are in Belmopan.”
