Post-Mortem Pending for Eli Chan; Police Say No Signs of Injuries on the Body!
Last week Friday, we reported on the discovery of Eli Chan’s body on a farm in the Maya Mopan area of Belmopan. As you heard in that interview on Friday, Chan’s relatives believed that he was killed. They say that they saw injuries on the body, but tonight police’s account is different. ACP Joseph Myvett told the press today that the body didn’t have any visible signs of injuries and they are still awaiting the results of a post-mortem.

“Police were informed of a body in the Maya Mopan area where upon arrival they observed the apparent motionless body of Eli Chan, face down on the ground. As a result, the scene was processed and the body was removed. An inspection of the body revealed that there were no visible signs of injuries. A post mortem is schedule for either today or tomorrow to determine the cause of death. We also know that the deceased was an alcoholic and would consume alcoholic beverages daily and he was frequenting the area where he was found.”
