Police seek info. on baby’s murder
Police are appealing to the public to help solve the murder of an infant, which was found with its throat cut in Dangriga over the weekend. The investigation into the terrible discovery on Saturday continues but police say anyone who knows anything at all is urged to come forward or call Dangriga police or the Criminal Investigations Branch. A post mortem on Tuesday indicated that the baby, which was a healthy six and a half pound baby girl, who was born alive died of traumatic asphyxia. Police pathologist Dr. Mario Estradabran believes the same instrument used to cut the umbilical cord was used to slit the infant’s throat. Residents found the corpse on the bank of Havana Creek.
