Midday robbery at Tienda Melchor

Before that robbery occurred two gunmen also robbed Tienda Melchor at the corner of Mussel Street and Cemetery Road. It happened close to one in the afternoon while the streets were busy with pedestrians and students. There were at least three persons in the store at the time. According to one of the victims two gunmen exited a red taxi and ran into the store. They grabbed a fifteen year old boy from behind the counter and took him to the back of the store where they pushed a hand gun in his side. The minor said that the men took a Sony DVD player, about two thousand dollars cash from the register and a pair of boots from the shelves. The men then took a large “Winnie the Pooh” bag from the store to put the items in before jumping into a red taxi that was waiting for them. Up to News time we haven’t been able to confirm if any arrests were made for this midday robbery.
