Co-op robbed of $20,000
A fishing co-op in Belize City was robbed on Friday morning. According to police, Iman Ken, an employee of Northern Fisherman’s Cooperative, was just getting out of his vehicle in front of the building on North Front street when a man approached him with a gun and demanded money. Ken handed over a bag, with twenty thousand dollars, apparently company payroll, and the thief ran away. Police have since picked up three men for questioning but no one has been arrested.
