Shooting Victim Jose Santos Succumbs
The victim of Monday’s midmorning shooting, forty-three-year-old Jose Santos, died early this morning at the K.H.M.H. The delivery truck driver was shot several times at around ten while making a delivery at Tow Tow on Mahogany Street in Belize City. A security camera captured the murder, and it showed the killer on a bicycle casually making his way to an unsuspecting Santos who was seated on the driver’s seat. The shooter pulled out a gun and shot Santos several times to the upper body. The murder weapon was later found on an adjacent street, hidden in a bushy drain. Investigators believe that it was an attempted robbery. Santos was pronounced dead at one-fifty this morning. News Five has been informed that Santos is originally from Armenia Village and worked at a bakery in Eight Miles, where he lived.
