Meet the New Board of the National Women’s Commission

On Thursday, the newly appointed board of commissioners of the National Women’s Commission gathered for their first meeting. The women advocacy group’s new President Thea Garcia Ramirez, Vice President Marissa Cervantes Martin, Treasurer Pastora Castillo, Secretary Dorla Vaughan. The other appointed commissioners are Anthony Sabal, Wendy Cabral Williams, Geovannie Brackett, Chelsea Cruz, Aurelia Cal, Kristina Romero, Major Jonathan Kellman, Doctor Lesly Perez, and Ashanti Arthurs Martin.  The N.W.C. falls under the Ministry of Human Development, Families, and Indigenous Peoples’ Affairs. Minister Dolores Balderamos Garcia, Minister of State, Gilroy Usher and C.E.O. Tanya Santos Neal were present at Thursday’s meeting.
