Contractor at Louisiana Gov’t Preschool is Hit by Thieves
A contractor was busy at work over the weekend when two thieves ambushed him. The robbery happened in Orange Walk. The contractor was working on a building at the Louisiana Government Preschool. The thieves, one armed with a gun, accosted Wilber Vega and robbed him of his wallet and other personal items. ACP Joseph Myvett says three persons are in custody.

“Police were called to the Louisiana Government Preschool in Orange Walk town where they met and spoke to one Wilber Vega who was doing some contract work on the building. And sometime just around 11:00 a.m. while he was alone inside one of the classrooms, he was approached by two dark complexion male persons wearing masks, one of whom is believed to have been armed with a handgun, who then approached him and he was hit with that handgun and he was relieved of his personal belongings including his wallet containing an undisclosed amount go money. So far, police has three persons in their custody pending this investigation.”
