Witness was Unaware of Circus Involving Hugo Patt’s Vehicle

The 2020 Toyota Tacoma that made its way through a labyrinth of handlers once the sale had been green lighted by the Government of Belize, ended up in the possession of Car Guys Belize Limited, an auto dealership owned by Said Perdomo.  According to the well-known businessman, when he perused the paperwork for the vehicle he discovered that it was legally owned by Juvencio Herrera.

“I just wanted to ask if you were aware of the fact that the vehicle was originally a government vehicle.”

“Of course I was aware.  I mean there were signs.  You know, when you see something, you think it and dehn yoh go and dehn yo find out, yoh do yoh own thing afterwards, yoh noh.  Ah neva aware at the time but ah noh fool, ah know more or less, yoh know.  But legally, it was for Juvencio and that’s all I concern bout.  I neva know wahn whole circus di go ahn eena di background.”

“Neva, neva eva, I noh even know weh dat deh.  We buy from auctions from embassies all the time, boards, yoh know, and I neva yet buy from Vehicle Care Unit, one hundred percent sure.”
