Dangriga Hardware store robbed
Dangriga police are looking for two men after they robbed a hardware storeowner and one of his employees around eleven-thirty this morning. Employees tell News Five that Orlando Habet had already gotten into his Blazer in front of Habet’s Hardware on St. Vincent Street, when a man rode up on a bike and put a gun to the head of employee Reina Marcia. She screamed, gave him the bank deposit bag and ran back into the store. Habet reversed the Blazer and knocked the man off the bike. The robber then, fired shots at the rear of the vehicle, scrambled to his feet and he and his companion fled the scene. They got away with the deposit bag which contained twelve thousand dollars in cash and checks from the weekend’s sales. This afternoon police conducted a search of the area, but so far there have been no arrests. The only description available is that one of the men had dread-locks.
