Kareem Musa’s Message to U.D.P. Leader Patrick Faber

Kareem Musa

U.D.P. leader Patrick Faber began his rounds up north in Corozal where News Five’s Duane Moody caught up with him.  While he did not make any predictions, Faber spoke of electors coming out to vote in favour of the U.D.P. and sending a message to the Briceño administration. He says people know they had made the wrong choice for the general elections back in November 2020. Following the victory in Corozal Bay, the P.U.P. Minister of Home Affairs, Kareem Musa responded to the Opposition Leader.

Kareem Musa, P.U.P. Minister

“The message here is one that is a continuation of the very same message that was sent on November eleventh – the people are tired of the U.D.P., they are tired of the Honourable Patrick Faber, all of them. And so this is a continuation of that message. If they want to talk about sending messages that is what this message is here today. And I am certain that all across the country, the results will be the same. And while they are trying to create a narrative, if you look at each and every individual ministry that we have under this People’s United Party government, if you are going to do a sober reflection and analysis of what has been taking place, it is progress and development in a time of pandemic. It is reducing the numbers in the COVID-19 cases; it is actually having a plan – a PlanBelize that works for everyone. And so while it is that we might not solve all the problems in a hundred days, I can tell you we have solved most of the U.D.P.’s problems that they could never have solved and so that is what the people see through and through. It is going to take time, but at the same time they’re seeing that we are making strides and progress.”
