Kriol website now on the net
There’s a new website for those who want to learn more about Belize’s Creole population. The National Kriol Council says their site provides information on Kriol culture, history and language and is especially useful for students. The National Kriol Council is a non-profit organization founded in nineteen ninety-five to promote Kriol Culture and harmony among Belize’s many ethnic groups. A member group, the Bileez Kriol Projek, has produced an English/Kriol glossary and read along cassette, two Hanansi storybooks, and a booklet on the birth of Jesus. All are available for sale locally. The address of the council’s website is www.kriol.org.
