And while Tyrique Gentle lost his life on Tuesday night, another youth is in the hospital as the gun violence continued today.  Percival Pilgrim was shot multiple times just before three p.m. on Banak Street in Belize City when a shooter approached him and fired several shots in his direction.  Pilgrim was hit in the head and abdomen and rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he underwent surgery this afternoon.  We are told that he was hit as many as ten times and his condition is critical.  Another person was also shot during the incident – a sixteen-year-old boy who suffered injuries to his arm. It’s unclear what led to this shooting, but information to News Five is that Gentle and the teenager are both members of the Banak Zone Gang.
