Police Say Dennis Trapp’s Murder May Be Gang Related

Chester Williams

Late this evening, Police Commissioner Chester Williams briefed the media on the leads they are pursuing about Dennis Trapp’s murder in Punta Gorda. According to police, two killers approached the unsuspecting victim, killed him and then sped away on a motorcycle. ComPol Williams says they believe that this latest murder is gang related.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police

“From what we gathered is that Trapp, who is the driver of the garbage truck in Punta Gorda, was reporting for duty and before he could have alighted the vehicle he was ambushed by two male individuals who fired the fatal shots. Police responded and were able to pursue the two suspects but they were able to elude the police on motorcycle and were able to get away. We know that there are two factions in Punta Gorda Town that are constantly going after each other. That is the motive at this time. It seems to be gang related and police will continue to probe to see where we can get with the investigation.”
