G.O.B. Minister Says Reading of “Budget Will Be Difficult”

The country will have to wait for the reading of the budget for the new fiscal year 2021-2022 until April ninth.  But today, Area Representative for Belmopan, Oscar Mira told the Belmopan City Council that it will be difficult.  Mira suggested that it will be a tough budget to digest, but he was still hopeful about the months ahead.

“There are challenging days ahead of us. We are about to read a budget that we knew was going to be difficult, but believe me, we never thought it was going to be that difficult. But we will overcome and I think that for now we are seeing the environment in Belize is changing – you will see that the results of the pandemic is somewhat – if you notice the daily results of the test being done is steadily going down.”
