Wall crushes eleven-year-old boy to death
A freak accident of sorts has left a primary school student dead and his mother hospitalized in the north. Police say that a wall collapsed on top of the mom and her eleven-year-old son but the boy didn’t survive the incident. It happened around three-thirty on Saturday afternoon. ACP Joseph Myvett has the details:

“Corozal police were called to San Roman Village where upon arrival they were informed that two persons were injured by a concrete wall which fell on them whilst they were outside of their home in a hammock. Those persons were learnt to be thirty-year-old Norelli Marin and her eleven-year-old son Jamir Marin. During the course of the investigation, the police learnt that those persons were outside in a hammock when one of the concrete walls of an unfinished building fell on them injuring both persons. Unfortunately, Jamir succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment, whilst his mother remain in a stable condition.”
