Jamal Barrow indicted for NY murder attempt
In other crime news, this time from New York, up and coming rap star Jamal Barrow, son of Opposition Leader Dean Barrow, was today indicted by a grand jury for attempted murder. The charges arose out of an incident at a Manhattan night spot on December twenty-seventh when Barrow, in the company of music mogul Sean “Puffy” Combs and his girlfriend, actress Jennifer Lopez, allegedly pulled out a gun in the crowded nightspot and wounded three people. Combs has not yet been indicted by the grand jury, although a stolen nine-millimeter pistol was found in his vehicle after he fled the club along with Lopez, his driver and bodyguard. Yesterday one of the shooting victims, Natania Reuben, complained to the press that the media has been obsessed with the celebrities in the case and have ignored the plight of those who got shot.
