Suspect detained in Dangriga death
On Monday, January third, fifty-eight year old Eldrid Nuñez died in the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital after he suffered a traumatic blow to the head on New Year’s Eve. On December thirty-first around three forty-five in the evening, Dangriga police had discovered Nuñez in an abandoned building he resided in on Sisters of Holy Family Street. Nuñez was bleeding from the head and from the left eye. At this time the police say they do not know if Nuñez was attacked because of robbery but according to the police, the Nuñez family did tell them that they had given the victim a gold watch for his Christmas gift. When Nuñez was found, the watch was missing. So far the police have detained one person for questioning.
