Sixteen-year-old charged with rape of eighty-two year old
Two days after an eighty-two year old woman reported to police that she had been robbed and raped, a sixteen-year-old, Carlos Luna Caliz, has been arrested and charged for the crimes. The elderly woman from Corozal told police that on Tuesday, Caliz went to her home and told her that her son was being held hostage by two other men. Corozal police say Caliz has confessed that he then led the woman to an area known as Finca Solana, pushed her in the bushes, stole her jewelry and then raped her.
