“Police were called to Buena Vista Street in San Ignacio Town shortly after eleven p.m., where they observed a grey in colour Toyota Hilux overturned on Buena Vista Street. Upon their arrival, they met one Jose Dominguez, forty-two years employee of the Government of Belize; he is an engineer with the Ministry of Infrastructural Development and Housing with minor injuries. As a result, he was escorted to the San Ignacio Community Hospital where samples were taken from him and he was attended to. He claims that he was on his way home on Arenal Road in Benque Viejo Town when he apparently fell asleep and lost control of the vehicle.  Some parts of the vehicle have minor damages where I believe the front portion, he may have ran into a culvert and so a part of the front portion has extensive damage. We were trying to ascertain whether or not he had permission or authority which he failed to answer us. But we believe that he will be in today where a proper statement will be recorded from him with respect to the accident.”
