Hit and run victim mauled twice on Northern Highway
There is an expression in the English language which talks about “adding insult to injury.” On Christmas Eve a pair of motorists combined to give new meaning to the phrase and in the process an Orange Walk man has lost his life. Twenty-five year old Arturo Foster of Chan Pine Ridge was apparently killed by a hit and run driver sometime after nine between miles fifty-one and fifty-two on the Northern Highway. Police were called and while they were conducting their investigations of the crime scene a truck approached from the north, overtook a vehicle which had slowed down and proceeded to run over the lifeless body of Foster. Since Foster was already dead the impatient motorist, fifty-five year old Dennis Disus, could not be charged with his death. Whoever did kill Arturo Foster is still at large and is being sought by police.
