Democracia Resident Found with Stolen Gun from Santa Elena Murder
Have police nabbed one of the men involved in last Friday’s murder of Lionel Olivera Senior in Santa Elena? On Tuesday afternoon, Democracia resident James Rudon was wanted by police for his alleged involvement in the murder and he was found in possession of Olivera’s stolen firearm. He was caught during a search of a bus travelling from Dangriga to Independence Village. That gun is a nine millimetre Smith and Wesson brand weapon, found inside a backpack on the luggage rack above Rudon’s head. Rudon was detained and escorted to the police station. Also discovered was a magazine loaded with fourteen live rounds of Aguila brand ammunition. Police formally arrested and charged James Rudon for keeping a firearm without a gun license and kept ammunition without a gun license.
