Prisoner shot by guard at Hattieville
The facts are sketchy but unconfirmed reports reaching News Five indicate that a disturbance at Hattieville Prison on Friday evening has resulted in a prisoner being shot in the leg by a guard. Clarence Gentle was shot by one of a number of guards who tried to restrain him as he was being transferred from the medium security section to a cell in max. Gentle had allegedly grabbed hold of a pipe and attacked the prison officers who were escorting him.
