Two charged in Corozal robbery
In other crime news two men have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in Corozal. Twenty-five year old Donavan Franzua of Paraiso Village and twenty-three year old Honduran Rolando Arzu allegedly used a sawed off shotgun to threaten two employees of Majil’s Mexican Products in Corozal Town. According to police reports Clari and Juan Carlos Manjorte were counting up the week’s receipts at Majil’s on Sunday morning when two men entered the building and put the weapon to Clari’s head. The duo escaped with an undetermined amount of money. Franzua and Arzu were apprehended shortly afterward at which time police recovered a sawed off shotgun, four thousand, seven hundred dollars in cash and thirty-six thousand dollars in checks. In addition to robbery charges Arzu was also charged for possession of a prohibited firearm.
