Belize represented at Panama Canal ceremony
Area Representative of Corozal Southeast Florencio Marin, Deputy Speaker of the House Valdemar Castillo and Permanent Secretary David Gibson represented Belize at the handing over ceremonies of the Panama Canal in Panama City this week. Castillo also attended the ninth Meeting of Presidents of Legislative Assemblies of Central America. Topics under discussion included the possibility of Belize becoming a full member of the organization and upgrading the Republic of China Taiwan to permanent observer.
