Unions Picket Cabinet Meeting

While that was almost two decades ago, tonight the B.N.T.U. and the P.S.U. continue to press the government.  Will this P.U.P. administration yield to the union’s request like the last P.U.P. administration?  Considering its historical twelve days of consecutive strike action, teachers joined P.S.U. members in front of the House of Culture.  Inside, cabinet met for their weekly meeting, but by ten-thirty a.m.  Prime Minister John Briceño was seen leaving the compound. Following behind were several other ministers.  Demonstrations by teachers and public officers also carried out marches in other parts of the country, including the City of Belmopan and Benque Viejo Del Carmen.  The joint union leadership is set to meet with government representatives on Thursday inside the House of Culture.
