Tourist shot by would-be robber
A tourist was shot in the arm in front of the Princess Hotel on Princess Margaret Drive Sunday night. Police report that hotel guest Jose Igea Ruiz of Navarra, Spain was with four friends around eight p.m. when a man came up and pointed a gun in his face and said something in English. But since none of the visitors understand the language they did not respond and the assailant shot Igea in the arm and fled. He was taken to the hospital and treated for his wound. Police believe robbery was the motive.
