Passenger Injured in Road Shooting; Police Officer Being Investigated

A police officer is being investigated after he shot at a taxi and injured a passenger on Saturday.   Senior Superintendent Hilberto Romero gives us the latest on this incident.

“On Saturday the fifteenth day of May 2021 police visited the KHMH where they found Patricia Castillo twenty years with a gunshot injury to the body. Information revealed that she was in a vehicle on the Philip Goldson highway when they heard a loud bang and she realized that she had been shot. Further investigation revealed that a police officer was in a vehicle in the same area. He alleges that the vehicle was trying to run him off the road and he fired several shots, causing the injury to Castillo. An investigation is being carried out into this matter. At the end of the investigation, we will be determined what option will be taken from there.”
