Several Detained for Questioning in Erskine Murder
Several people were picked up for questioning today as police investigate the murder of Lincoln Erskine in Ladyville. He was found Tuesday night dead in his home. His family says he was in an ongoing dispute with neighbors who wanted illegal access to his electricity. Superintendent Alejandro Cowo has details.
Supt. Alejandro Cowo, O.C., C.I.B., Eastern Division
“On Tuesday, at about seven [o’clock], police visited an area in the Milpa area of Ladyville where at a small house and inside of one of the rooms, police discovered the body of Mr. Lincoln Erskine with apparent stab wounds to his body. What we know is that the last time that he was seen alive was sometime after seven [p.m.] on Monday night and family members became concerned that they had not seen him during Tuesday. So they went along with police at the location and that is when they found his body inside of the house.”

“It is being reported that family members were told by the victim that he had an issue with a particular person. Have police gotten that information and if so, has that person been detained for questioning by police?”
Supt. Alejandro Cowo
“Yes, police were able to speak to the family members. They have shared that information to us and also police have in that immediate area, they have detained several persons who are in custody at this moment and will be questioned as to reference that latest homicide.”
