ComPol: “Everybody Da Fisherman Now”

Police have recovered three kilos of cocaine they believe originated from a narco-plane that crashed landed off the coast of Placencia. As was reported, since the crash police has been able to locate the wings and tail of the plane at sea. The body, which police suspects may still contain the drugs and the pilots, are yet to be found. Now packets of drugs have begun to surface and police are now receiving information that certain individuals are trying to sell their stash.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police

“We continue to do our search. Yesterday we found an additional two kilos and two persons are in custody and should be charged today for those two kilos. We have interviewed several persons and are in the process of interviewing additional persons. We are still hopeful that we will be able to locate most of the drugs. Again, I want to appeal to most Belizeans, if it is that you have any of those drugs, please surrender it to the police. It is in your best interest. Because if the cartel hears you, have it, they will come for you. We have received information that several persons are inquiring and reaching out to others for sale. That will be right where you get it, because when you inquire you might inquire with the wrong person. And then it reaches the ears that this one has and is trying to sell. And then they are going to come for you and your families. So the safest thing right now is for the cartel to hear that the police has the drugs. If they want to come let them come for the police.  At this time we are seeing that the fishermen population has increased tremendously. Everybody dah fisherman now in the south. But they are fishing without line. So we know what they are fishing for.”
