Marin resigns from Cabinet, becomes Chairman of Free Zone
The Minister of Sugar Industry, Local Government and Latin American Affairs, Florencio Marin, has resigned from Cabinet. In a brief press release, the Prime Minister announced that effective December thirty-first, Marin would give up his ministerial responsibilities to take over as Chairman of the Commercial Free Zone in Corozal. Despite this appointment, Marin remains in the House of Representatives, representing the Corozal Southeast constituency. Marin will attend the first meeting of the board of Directors of the Commercial Free Zone, this Thursday December second.
