Bail is Denied for Jasmine Hartin

This just in….Senior Counsel Godfrey Smith at the conclusion of today’s arraignment told the media that his client Jasmine Hartin was denied bail. She remains in police custody, pending remand to the Central prison in Hattieville.

“We are not gonna give a statement today, but we are going to arrange to have a statement tomorrow.”

“In the morning?”

“I can’t promise in the morning. We have to do some more paper work. We’ll aim for tomorrow afternoon.”

“Is there any way you could confirm anything?”

Godfrey Smith

“The charge is manslaughter by negligence. Bail has been denied; we will apply to the Supreme Court as is normal. We will endeavour to talk to the press tomorrow and give some details if we can.”
