Fatal Accident in Cane Field
A man from Trial Farm Village died in a freak accident earlier this afternoon. Police say the farmer, Salvador Ozaeta, was working on a tractor at a cane field in Yo Creek Village in the Orange Walk District. It is believed that while he was reversing, the tractor reportedly fell into a culvert and overturned. Police found his body next to the tractor and he was taken to the Northern Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The fifty-year-old man was from the Black Water area of Trial Farm.
