Cocaine Bust near Little Belize
Three men transporting seven kilos of cocaine in northern Belize were intercepted by law enforcement on Thursday evening. Police say Cornelius Reddecopp, John Reddecopp and Eric Barrera were in a while pickup truck on the Little Belize Road when police intercepted the vehicle. Seven parcels of cocaine were found stored inside a bag on the floor behind the passenger seat. The three were detained pending charges for Possession of Controlled Drugs with intent to supply to another. It is unclear at this point where they obtained the cocaine or whether these packets may be part of the lost cargo from a suspected narco plane that crashed off the coast of Placencia two weeks ago. Earlier this week, police recovered three parcels of the cocaine they believe are linked to that aircraft.
