Protection Order Withdrawn against Faber

Chairman Peyrefitte also said that there is no report made against Faber or any member of the party.  And if there is to be a report, he would take a strong stance against it.  He told us today there was a protection order application made against the Leader of the Opposition, but the mother of his child withdrew it. Here’s how he explains it.

“I will give you an example of something the public may not know that there was a protection order application against Mr. Faber prior to the incident that we saw on the video you know, subsequent to that. Mr. Faber and the mother of his child went to court after that incident became public and she withdrew the protection order request which means clearly she doesn’t feel like she is in danger personally. Doesn’t justify what he did but when you talk about allegations, nobody has brought specific allegations  to the police or nobody has brought any allegations to me in terms of them being abused by any of those members that you are saying. If they were to bring them to me and if it were demonstrated  that anybody was physically touched or physically hit, then I would tell you right away that he needs to resign; charges need to be brought up and he needs to go to jail but that is not what happened.”
