Body Identified in Eldridgeville

While police are working on identifying the body found off Whipray Caye, they believe they have been able to identify the human remains found in Eldridgeville, on Friday.  Police believe they are that of Oscar Garcia, a resident of Independence Village.

“This was on Friday last. Police were called to an area in Elridgeville shortly before midday where they discovered human remains in some bushes. We have since conducted an investigation. There were several pieces of clothing which were found near the remains. We are following a lead where it is believed to be one Oscar Garcia who was residing somewhere in Independence Village. I must say that no official missing person report was made until yesterday, for which the family could not give us an explanation. The remains seemed to have been out there definitely over a month and no missing persons report was made.”
